The Learning Community is a grass-roots campaign to engage our community in learning for life. The goal of The Learning Community is for all of us in the Greater Owensboro area to place a higher value on learning and enjoy the benefits. Here are a few of our ideas:

• Among our residents, covenant to value learning like no other community in the world.
• Create exchanges – online and otherwise - of innovative learning initiatives.
• Recognize employers who place a high value on learning and individuals who serve as learning mentors.
• Foster partnerships to improve literacy.
• Cultivate partnerships to ensure our students graduate from high school.
